What does an order picker do?

An order picker pulls product from racking or pick faces to fill customer orders — working from an RF scanner, voice headset, or pick list, building pallets or totes, checking counts, and staging completed orders for shipping. That's the working order picker job description; sites differ in whether you pick by case, piece, or full pallet.
Picking is the heart of order fulfillment, and most of our roles are entry-level with training — including RF scanner and voice-pick systems. If you've selected, run a pallet jack, or worked a dock as a lumper, we'll match you to roles that use that experience.

What's the difference between an order picker, a selector, and a lumper?

A warehouse selector and an order picker are largely the same job — "selector" is the more common title in grocery and cold-storage operations, often with case-picking and higher volume targets. A lumper works the dock instead, unloading and re-stacking freight from inbound trailers. If you're asking what does a lumper do: it's physical unload and restack work rather than picking to order.
Applying is quick and online. Pick a role, share your details, and a local recruiter confirms shift, pay, and start date. Browse order picker and selector jobs below.
